Santa Claus

The legend of the old plump is based in San Nicolas de Bari, who was born in Turkey in the year 280, helped by black slaves instead of elves. It was said that helping the most disadvantaged.
But it was in 1624 when it was renamed Santa Claus, when Dutch immigrants arrived in New York. Among its myths, had to Sinterklaas was a saint who gave gifts to children.
The legend grew in the collective imagination, but the character we know today already emerged in the twentieth century when Coca-Cola commissioned the painter Habdon Sundblom to remodel the figure to make it more human and endearing, and also changing red color of its clothes.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Do you think that all people in the world eat the same in New Year's Eve?
If you think so, you're wrong.
In Spain people eat 12 grapes at midnight on New Year's Eve, one with each chime.
In china people eat noodles and lettuce. Noodles are symbol for long life, because of its length, and cut or break into small pieces attracts bad luck. Lettuce leaves are used to wrap other luckily foods.
A typical Italian meal on New Years Eve is the "Cotechino with Lenticchie" which means pork with lentils. It is believed that lentils  give good luck coins.
In Argentina, people eat cold salads, sweet and sour pork and fruit.Although it remains the custom of eating nougat and grapes in most countries colonized by the Spaniards.
In France there is no typical food but the champagne is essential.
Japanese people eat osechi. The osechi can take fish roe, sea food and other foods. It has various meanings, as arga life, abundant descendants or good luck.
These are only a few countries but all countries have different customs.

THE BEATLES

``The Beatles´´? Oh Yes! .I ´m sure you´ve heard of this fantastic group of English. It was an English rock band active in the 60s, recognized as the most successful in the history of popular music. OK it has many years but it is very important that you know who they are.
Well, formed in Liverpool and constituted by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They achieved commercial success in the UK in late 1962 with their first single, ``Love me do ´´. From there, they were gaining international popularity.
In 1970 the band broke going each independently. Lennon was assassinated outside his home in New York in 1980, and Harrison would die of cancer in 2001. McCartney and Starr remain active.
But they left a great legacy of songs: ``Here comes the sun´´, ``Let it be´´, ``Yesterday´´, ``Hey Jude´´, ``Help! ´´, ``All you need is love´´, ``Come together´´, ``Yellow Submarine´´, ``Love me do´´ and`` Lucy in the sky with diamonds´´.

``The Grand Budapest Hotel´´ by Wes Anderson.

Good afternoon! Today I’ m talk about this film ``The Grand Budapest Hotel´´ by Wes Anderson, director of others films such as ``Royal Tenenbaums´´ or ``Moonrise Kingdom´´.
It narrates the adventures of Gustave H(Ralph Fiennes) , a legendary concierge of a famous European hotel and Zero Mustafa , the boy of the foyer with whom it begins friendship and turns in his protected one. The history treats on the theft and the recovery of a Renaissance painting of incalculable value and on the battle that it faces the members of a family for an immense fortune. As backdrop the transformed European during the first half of the 20 th century.
I like  this film and the director ´s films for his perfectionism in the scenes but this in particular beats the other, is the most Wes Anderson I ´ve seen in my life . It´s also funny and such fun for 1 hour and 50 minutes and is not bad cast: Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Mathieu Amalric, F. Murray Abraham and Jude Law.
